At Joseph Tutors, my small group Story Clubs offer a carefully curated learning experience from Reception to Year 6. Each magical lesson blends reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, spelling and comprehension with confidence building, all delivered in a nurturing environment where creativity and skill grow side by side.

In every session, children will:

I provide small group English tuition through Story Clubs for children from Reception to Year 6.
The clubs develop reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling and comprehension through engaging, confidence first learning. I also offer online phonics classes for Reception and Year 1 children.

Small group learning gives children the best of both worlds: opportunities to share ideas, learn from one another and build confidence, while still receiving personalised attention from a qualified teacher. With a maximum of six children, every child has the chance to be heard, supported and celebrated.

Group tuition - £30/hour (3 to 6 students)
e.g.. 7 weeks=7 x £30
Payment is made half termly in advance and I accept bank transfers or direct debits.

I do not offer 1:1 tuition!
I offer sessions for groups of up to 6 students, which allow for collaborative learning and peer support while still receiving focused attention from the tutor.
This not only helps reduce the cost for families but also allows students to benefit from the advantages of group interaction.

I offer face to face Story Clubs in my dedicated classroom in Purley, as well as online phonics classes for Reception and Year 1 children.
Sounds to Sentences supports Reception children with early phonics, reading and writing, while Sounds to Stories helps Year 1 children apply their phonics to reading, sentence writing and early storytelling.
