Ms. Joseph proved to be a dedicated and hardworking individual who worked above and beyond to ensure the best outcomes for students in her care. She was keen to develop her skills and showed tremendous initiative. To this end she collaborated carefully with external specialists including the school’s Educational psychologist, speech and language therapist, hearing impairment advisor and occupational therapist, to better understand pupil need and strategize accordingly.

Ms. Joseph has a natural kindness and warmth that predisposes her to be a person to turn to when in need. She responds with sincerity to others and you are sure of genuine intentions from her. The group she taught made for an incredibly demanding context.  Ms. Joseph rose to that challenge and was constantly looking for ways to better provision for the children. Ms. Joseph noted that the group was quite defeatist and therefore incorporated daily positive affirmations and personalized reward systems to incentivize a growth mindset, which is in line with the school’s agenda of developing personal excellence for every child.

Ms. Joseph worked hard at building rapport with the children and their parents, which in turn enabled pupil self-confidence and progress such that all children made significant academic progress. -

I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Mrs Joseph well on both a personal and professional level. On a personal level, Mrs Joseph has been a great friend and mutual support throughout the year as we’ve both settled into new jobs and lives abroad. On a professional level, Mrs Joseph has proven to be an extremely conscientious, hard-working teacher who has always delivered high quality engaging lessons to her students. She has an innovative, fun approach to teaching and learning which clearly motivates and resonates well with students of all ages. She developed a strong relationship with her students (aged from 5 to adult) and her lessons were always received with a high level of enthusiasm and participation. (I should know, I was in the next classroom!).

Perhaps the most powerful testament to Mrs Joseph’s teaching ability is that I I have seen shy unconfident children previously reluctant to talk English for fear of making mistakes, blossom under her tutelage and encouragement into confident students eager to practise their English and show off their newly gained prowess.     

As a co-worker Mrs Joseph was exceptionally helpful and collegiate. She shared her experience and knowledge willingly and has been a terrific colleague over the course of the past year.

I did my B2-level English classes with Tanya some years ago. I hadn't had a teacher like her before; she is one of those teachers who leaves a mark. She always made me feel comfortable and secure. It is evident how much she cares about all of her students, and it is admirable how much enthusiasm she puts into all the lessons and the passion she feels for her job. It was an honor for me to have her as a teacher. Tanya is so kind and genuinely pure that I wish every single child to have the opportunity to learn kindness through her teaching. She is inspiring and absolutely marvellous.

Tanya is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. She is always there for her students whenever they need help. The first time I met her was in 2017. She was my English teacher. Now, in 2024 we are still in contact.

I am writing this letter to you, to explain my experience of having you as a teacher and as a person too. For me you are the best teacher I have had during all these years. You solved every single doubt we had. Even if you weren't sure about something, you searched it and solved it for us. You take care of us as if we were your own children. We were self-confident with you.

This year I have learnt a lot, not only referring to English but personal things too. Every time we were sad or tired you used to put a smile upon our faces. I trust in you Tanya and I love you so much. You have been so supportive with me. God bless you!
